4. Step-by-Step Complaint Filing Procedure
To ensure prompt investigation, complaints must be submitted in writing via email or formal letter with complete supporting documentation.

Exact Content Identifier: Specific URL (web address), headline, publication date, and section (e.g., Kalahandi News, Odisha News, National Desk).

Specific Allegation: The exact sentences, quotes, images, or assertions disputed, alongside a clear explanation of how the content violates the Code of Ethics or statutory laws.

Supporting Documents: Evidentiary material (such as court orders, government circulars, counter-affidavits, or official rejoinders) supporting the claim of inaccuracy or harm.

Declaration: A signed statement affirming that all information submitted is true, accurate, and submitted in good faith.
5. Grievance Redressal Timelines & Procedure
We observe the statutory resolution timelines mandated by the Information Technology Rules:

Acknowledgment: Every valid grievance received by our Grievance Officer will be acknowledged within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt, accompanied by a unique Grievance Reference Number.

Review & Investigation: The Grievance Officer, in consultation with the editorial desk and field reporters, will review the challenged material against primary records, source notes, and our published Editorial Policy.

Redressal Action: Where a grievance is found to be justified, Rohitasya News Network will, within fifteen (15) days of receipt:

Issue an explicit correction, clarification, or right-of-reply note on the article.

Edit, redact, or take down the disputed material, where warranted.

Transmit a formal written response communicating the decision and the specific actions taken.

Rejection: If the grievance is determined to be frivolous, unsubstantiated, or lacking legal merit, a reasoned response will be furnished to the complainant within the 15-day window.
6. Multi-Tier Redressal Hierarchy (Rule 11 & Rule 12)
As outlined by the Information Technology Rules, digital media grievance redressal operates through a 3-tier structure:

Level I — Self-Regulation by Publisher: Initial complaints are received and resolved directly by the Resident Grievance Officer of Rohitasya News Network within 15 days.

Level II — Self-Regulation by Industry Body: If the complainant is dissatisfied with the decision of our Grievance Officer, or if no decision is communicated within 15 days, the complainant may escalate the matter to an independent self-regulatory body registered with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB).

Level III — Oversight Mechanism: The inter-departmental committee constituted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
7. Maintenance of Grievance Records
In compliance with administrative compliance norms, Rohitasya News Network maintains comprehensive digital records of all complaints received, acknowledgments issued, investigation notes, and resolution decisions for a minimum retention period of one (1) year.
